Founding of the tech company Security Robotics and promotional tour with the four-legged robot through Germany

Security Robotics launches and changes the security and building services industry

In order to live up to its claim to technological leadership and expand it further, a new independent tech company was founded from the smart and intelligent networking projects between security technology and robotics of the CIBORIUS Group. Security Robotics Development & Solutions GmbH was founded and spun off in quarter 04/2020. As an independent company, its focus is on creating and offering forward-looking solutions for end customers and service providers in the fields of security and facility management.

The CIBORIUS Group is thus expanding its portfolio and can already offer its customers new solutions that will be the industry standard in a few years’ time. Specialists in programming, IT, security and services work for Security Robotics. Many years of experience in building management and in the security industry help them to prepare the robots for the respective tasks in a customized manner.

Innovation and progress offer completely new application possibilities. Security Robotics does not want to follow trends, but rather play a decisive role in defining and leading them. This is also reflected in the company’s claim: We lead the way. The Group is the first German provider to offer the four-legged robot from Boston Dynamics and programs it for its customers to suit the respective application.

Security Robotics currently offers four types of robots: the digital reception service, the wheel-driven robot, drones and the four-legged robot.

The four-legged robot goes on a promotional tour through Germany

CIBORIUS took to the streets to capture the reactions of passers-by and explain the new technology. The security and service provider’s four-legged robot was guided through the city centers of six different German cities by its human colleagues: Mannheim, Stuttgart, Erfurt, Berlin, Hamburg and Frankfurt am Main. The performances not only caused a stir on the street. The video of the pattering robot on TikTok went viral on social networks and the online community wondered what the “robot dog” was all about. The press also asked for tipsters, with various regional and national media such as the Süddeutsche Zeitung, BILD and RTL.de reporting.

The four-legged robot will take on important tasks in the future – both in security and in building inspection. Thanks to its ultra-modern sensors and cameras, the smart robot can measure, monitor and report with pinpoint accuracy, around the clock and without getting tired or sick. His valuable human colleagues will then be deployed to positions where they have more responsibility.
