The CIBORIUS Group donates 10,000 euros to THW-Jugend e.V.

Thanks to the generous donation of €10,000 from the CIBORIUS Group, the THW Youth was able to further expand its digitalization programme.

The THW Youth uses the Internet to exchange and communicate content. The video streaming platform Twitch plays a major role here: in digital youth services, the young helpers learn, for example, how to properly shore up and brace – in other words, how to secure structures, parts of buildings and ruins so that helpers can work safely at the scene of an accident.

So far, the digital youth service has been broadcast live twice a month – young helpers aged between six and 18 stream exciting content on topics such as flood protection and drinking water supply in an online environment that they know and love from their free time. Thanks to the donation, the digital work of the THW Youth can be supplemented by another format, the “Expert_innentalk”. The name gives it away: Here, experts speak and go into greater depth on individual topics to prepare the young helpers for their missions in the best possible way. The CIBORIUS Group is proud to support this important work.

“Digital media is becoming increasingly important. With our donation, we want to promote digital offerings for young people and make the THW youth strong for the future,” says company founder Andreas CIBORIUS. The managing director of CIBORIUS Group met with representatives of the THW youth organization to hand over donations. At his side was his colleague and managing director of CIBORIUS Facility Services GmbHIngo Henke, who is involved with the THW youth alongside his job as a federal youth leader: “I can also carry out my outstanding voluntary work thanks to my employer, who releases me from many tasks. The donation makes it possible for us to offer our young helpers a safe and modern leisure activity despite corona.”

CIBORIUS Robotics

After the very successful promo tours with our
four-legged Spot ® from Boston Dynamics
throughout Germany, the other robot models are now also finding their first areas of application.

The
wheel-driven robot
from SMP Robotics (another partner) patrols large areas completely autonomously for up to 12 hours without recharging, thanks to AI algorithms.

He may be supported in this by the terrain-independent drone from sunflower labs. The drone can patrol at flexible times and report intruders or anomalies quickly and reliably. Thanks to the thermal imaging cameras fitted, the drone can also be used as an early fire detection system, for example. on landfills or storage areas for waste and more.

To round off the service offered, the robots are supported by another humanoid – the digital receiving robots from the manufacturer Promobot. The friendly robot covers distances autonomously and boasts state-of-the-art technology. Its special features include the ability to register guests intelligently, as it reacts to movement, can be installed with suitable software, has a touchpad and an integrated printer, and can even be equipped with an EC card terminal. This makes check-in an intelligent and eye-catching experience.
